Product Detail

Contactless IC cards, also known as RFID cards, are IC cards that communicate with terminals using electromagnetic waves and non-contact methods. They successfully address the challenges of being passive (no power source in the card) and contactless, representing a major breakthrough in the field of electronic devices. When using this card, there is no need to insert it into a specific reader slot; simply bringing the IC card close to the reading device enables card recognition.

The storage capacity of contactless IC cards varies depending on the chip model, ranging from a few hundred characters to several million characters. Contactless IC cards offer resistance to magnetic fields, static electricity, mechanical damage, and chemical corrosion. Information can be preserved for long periods, read/write cycles exceed tens of thousands, and they have a long service life. They provide excellent security and confidentiality, making them difficult to duplicate. While information on the IC card can be read, modified, or erased, password authentication is required for modification and erasure. Therefore, these cards are typically used in applications requiring frequent use, relatively small amounts of information, and high reliability.

The development, research, and application of IC cards constitute a systems engineering project, involving multiple technical disciplines across various product fields, including computers, communications, networks, software, IC card reader/writer devices, and IC card application equipment. Consequently, the global IC card industry has rapidly developed amid competition in technology, markets, and applications. IC cards are already one of the hot products in today's international electronic information industry. Beyond their widespread use in non-financial sectors such as commerce, healthcare, insurance, transportation, energy, telecommunications, security management, and identity recognition, their application in the financial sector is also increasingly extensive and profoundly impactful.
